CREATIVE STRATEGY COACHING

From the day I walked into our family business some 10 years ago when they were using just a fax machine to take orders, I knew the exact steps to take to build the business and take it to the next level - something others may have found overwhelming.

I created their first marketing strategy and team (also building their first Facebook page) and integrated the website order process into the ordering system, thereby automating the process. We built a heavy events schedule with workshops, VIP shopping nights and community events, including a very successful brand alignment / partnerships team dealing with Fox Studios and Strictly Ballroom, giving the company valuable TV airtime. Next, a successful social cause after opening and supporting a dance school in Sri Lanka. The family business absolutely boomed and then won a Telstra Small Business Award - all resulting in a complete turnaround for the company in just a few years.

My absolute gift is helping people bring creative visions to life to help a business reach success.  I can see those visions and feel them and more importantly I know what the process is in order to implement the staff / interns, work flow and budget to make it happen.  I love building systems to achieve the goal and while some people may think your vision is impossible or too big ... or when you don't know where to start; my advice can help you to make it happen.

With my experience in the industry spanning contacts in Paris, Australia and the USA, I have a vast knowledge of suppliers, manufacturers preferred PR, photographers - everything needed to pull a project together and achieve the success you are seeking.  I can help you whatever stage you are at and help you with the next steps - I can also help with fund raising/sponsorship if you are just starting out.

I care deeply about seeing Australian fashion succeed and do have a lot of requests for my time.  I only have a limited number of appointments available each week to be able to serve and give back.  The investment for a one hour call is $250 ex GST per hour.  Simply enter your payment details below.  Once your payment is made you will be taken to a calendar link to book our meeting time together.

Ensure you are prepared with your questions, and have a notepad and a pen because we will move fast in that hour to get you the best possible outcome.

Common questions I am asked:

How do I start a career in fashion? How do I find a mentor? Can you introduce me to your contacts?  Where can I get manufacturing? I want to run an event but don't know where to start? How do I launch into the USA? I am not sure how to grow my business to the next step? How do I launch my label into a new city? Can you invite your contacts to come to my event? ... etc

In my one hour sessions we constructively go through where you are up to, what your main pain point is in business at the moment and put a plan in place to help you get to where you need to be.  When needed I can contact / call on my contacts to help put you in touch with the best person to see you on your journey.  The hour sessions are run using Zoom video conference so we have a face to face meeting - the link to access my video conference will be emailed with a brief questionnaire once the booking has been made.  I will spend time prior to our meeting reviewing the questionnaire so our time is best spent.

I look forward to working with you - and helping change your business around too.  Your goal tomorrow starts today!

You were so willing to help and guide even from the moment I picked you up from the airport! Very kind and approachable.

I was so excited to hear what you had to say (even for the second time) about event planning and even more eager to hear specifics about the fashion industry.

I felt everything you said is really important to consider even when it seems like common sense, but can be so easy to forget. For example, in each session the number one thing I remembered was to always consider the people you are working with. Whether that be the volunteers for an event or the most important attendee, you need to put yourself in their shoes and make their experience wonderful. (the people from the Seagestrum event should take your advice)

I felt it was super helpful for someone who has no experience in the field yet. I got a lot of my questions answered that I had felt too stupid to ask anyone else before. Like how to navigate a networking event. The two rounds and don’t make it to the bathroom idea is funny, but actually super helpful!

I think it was really important for me to hear all this before heading in to the job hunt post-graduation. I now know what to keep in mind in connecting with people and how to present myself and I’m honestly not as nervous as I was before. I haven’t had the chance yet to practice anything you taught, but I am ready when the time comes!

Carly was very easy to listen to. She didn’t use jargon that was confusing or belittling. She was relatable and made me feel comfortable asking questions. Her responses felt thought out and not just some generic answer to help get her to her next point.

The topic was fantastic and very informative. It apples directly to some of my biggest fears and concerns regarding future employment.

I feel more confident in future employment opportunities. Carly introduced meaningful tips and tricks for getting to know people and network more effectively.

Carly will listen to you and take time to address your concerns either before, during or after her presentation. She understands people and what it means to be approachable, friendly and professional. You will leave feeling better about your way forward.

I am making plans to go to an event with a purpose. I want to go feeling my most confident, prepared to meet people with whom I can network and forward my professional career in some shape or form. I want to build my brand. I have already revised some social media to better represent me the way I want it to.
